September 9th, 2021: Bierstadt Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park

So, I have quite the story or you all. On this particular day, Jared & I spent the day hiking to the top of this mountain. After hiking into this incredible lake up on top, we stopped for a snack, and to take in all the views on a small beach. As we were sitting by the water, all of a sudden we heard crashing right on either sides of us, and these two moose popped out right out in front of us! To say we jumped a little may or may not be an understatement. Any closer and we would have been their very own door mat! It was a pretty awesome experience to say the least. The young moose sure was curious of what we were, however, his mama couldn’t of cared less! She was much too busy enjoying some scrumptious lunch further down the lake. After taking some time to munch on some food they slowly meandered down the lake together.
